Moose Homes LLC is a Cape Coral-based residential general contractor, founded in 2020 by Walter Gutierrez. What looks like a young company is really the product of two decades of full-time construction experience, beginning at age fifteen in a cabinet shop.
Over four summers, Walter learned to mill, face, case, and install cabinetry — the discipline that still shapes the way Moose Homes finishes every home. He moved from cabinets into full home remodeling, then earned his Florida contractor’s license and launched the company under his own name.
Today Moose Homes is the team you call when the details matter. Home remodeling, impact windows and doors, paint, drywall, and framing — five disciplines, delivered at a level of finish our neighbors notice. We work across Southwest Florida: Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, Sanibel, Fort Myers Beach, and Lehigh Acres.

[ A LETTER FROM WALTER ]
I started in the trades at fifteen, working a summer job at a local cabinet shop. Four summers of milling, sanding, and installing cabinetry gave me an eye for detail most contractors never develop. I took that discipline into a full-time position at a home remodeling company, where I learned every stage of residential construction by actually doing it.
In 2020 I earned my Florida contractor’s license and founded Moose Homes to build under my own name, to my own standard. Every project still runs through me personally — from the first walkthrough to the final punch list.
If you hire us, you get me. Not a project manager you’ll never hear from again. You’ll have my number, you’ll see me on your jobsite, and you’ll get a straight answer every time you ask one.
